Students and Faculty Return from Study Abroad Program in India

Two members of the faculty and twelve students recently returned from the university's first study abroad experience in India.  Professors Katherine Zubko (Religious Studies) and Keya Maitra (Philosophy) organized and led this experience entitled “Citizenship and Religious Diversity in a Global Age” during the semester break.  The group toured Hindu, Muslim, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist and Christian religious sites in Delhi, Varanasi, and Bodh Gaya.  They also spent ten days in Santiniketan in residence at Visva Bharati, a university founded on Rabindranath Tagore’s vision of educating the entire person through service-learning and studying in natural settings.
